Student Discounts: Computers & Tech

Tip #1 : While you’re a student, always ask if places have student discounts! It never hurts to ask and could save you some money! You won’t have this opportunity for long, so take advantage of it!
We’ve gone ahead and gathered a few resources to find discounted computers, tablets, software and accessories for all of your school needs!
You can sign up for UNiDAYS and find tons of different discounts through them just for being a student! You just have to confirm your school email and you’re good to go to start saving.
Here are some other options as well:
Apple - Check out their Refurbished store for good discounts too!
These are just a few of many places that offer student discounts, so do some of your own research to find more! Don’t forget to look at other resources too! Check out your class Facebook page, look on Ebay, etc. Find the best deals you can!
Good luck!

Cheap Fun Things to Do Around the City

There’s only about a month left of summer so here’s a list of fun but cheap things to do around the city while you’ve got the time to do them! Enjoy!
Check out events on Facebook! Look to see if there are any events happening around the city that would be fun to do.
First Thursday. The first Thursday of every month you can get into some awesome places for free. Seattle Art Museum (SAM), Seattle Asian Art Museum, and the Frye Art Museum are just a few of the participating museums where you can see some great exhibits free of cost. Different areas around the city also have Art Walks during the first and second weekend of each month, do some research and head to some art galleries if you’re interested.
Head to a park or beach. Places like the Olympic Sculpture Park, Discovery Park, Alki Beach, and Madrona Beach are beautiful during the summer. They’re also perfect for taking a nice walk or having a picnic with some friends. If the weather’s warm enough you could even go swimming!
Go hiking. If you have a car or have a friend who does, head into the mountains or a nearby trailhead area and take a hike. Pack some food and have a picnic, bring your camera, have fun! If you don’t have access to a car there are still some options for places that are easier to get to by bus but still feel like you’re in the forest or the mountains. Do some research and check them out! If you’re going on your own though, make sure someone knows where you are and be sure to have all the things you’ll need while you’re gone!
Do some touristy things. Whether you’re new to the city or just looking for some fun things to do Pike Place Market, Fremont Sunday Market, the Fremont Troll, Seattle Center, and taking a Ferry or the monorail are always good options.
Pokemon Go adventure! If you’re playing Pokemon Go it’s always worth it to travel around to different parts of the city to try and find some new Pokemon and simply catch more. Go alone or take a friend or two. Head to water if you’re looking for water type, parks for grass type, etc. Do some research if you’re looking for something specific or just roam around and have fun! You may find some new shops along the way and you can always stop to do other things like get a scoop of ice cream.
Here are a few more ideas!
  • Go to the library
  • Watch a movie at the $1 Theater
  • Check out the Farmer’s markets around the city!
  • Borrow a movie from the library, pop some popcorn and have a movie night.
  • Go to the park and read a book.
  • Make art with a friend
There are lot of things to do! Do some research or just head out and have some fun with friends!
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
